OUR STORY

Munch Africa is an interactive cultural food competition created by Cangro S.E.T., a Black-led non-profit dedicated to empowering youth in underserved communities through hands-on STEM and Agriculture Technology experiences. This event, featuring celebrated chefs from across Canada with African heritage, showcases the richness of African-descent cuisine while underscoring Cangro S.E.T.’s mission to inspire sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurial growth within marginalized communities.

Munch Africa is more than a celebration of food; it’s a call to action, addressing food insecurity, limited access to fresh produce, and economic disparities by promoting the potential of locally and sustainably grown crops.

By connecting cultural heritage with agricultural innovation, Munch Africa fosters pathways for economic growth, resilience, and self-sufficiency, proving that preserving cultural roots can empower future generations to build thriving, sustainable communities.
