Veronica Kunbi Olalere

I’m a chef, entrepreneur, restaurateur, television host, philanthropist and proud mother of a boy and a girl. Ms. Olalere opened Ahinke’s Kitchen Ltd in 2019 located in Calgary Alberta which was nominated as the best African Restaurant by Avenue Magazine in 2020/ 2021 She was given the first – ever Ethnik Festival Award on showcasing cultural heritage on Afro Canadians Food – Jollof Rice War 2020 Since then, she shattered the glass ceiling by starting a social enterprise called ” Open Kitchen YYC” to support other immigrant food businesses through an entrepreneurship program in Calgary and surrounding areas. She is blazing her own trail through the culinary world and becoming the first in the immigrant community to create the “SUYA Naija Burger” the latest exclusive collaboration with Sammies Cafe which showcases her culture in a mainstream menu. Ahinke has produced a family cooking show! The maiden series, “Ahinke’s Cooking Show” was curated in line with the Open kitchen YYC vision, which is to showcase immigrant food and inspire harmony in homes with the first session “Daddy’s Recipe” with 5 episode is now on youtube and showcasing at 12 channels on Telus Optik TV, the second session “Mummy’s Recipe” set to air this October 2022 in partnership with STORYHIVE by TELUS Optik, City of Calgary, Calgary Art Development Program and many more community sponsors.

Kyra Cole

Kyra Cole a is an Ontario economic development & tourism leader, CEO of KLB Consulting, and co-owner and CEO of THREESEVEN, an Indigenous consulting firm dedicated to Indigenous economic development.
Kyra is passionate about elevating the voices of and businesses of marginalized peoples to make the economic landscape in Canada more equitable. She has her PAED (Professional Aboriginal Economic Development Certification), is CANDO certified, and is a trained Experience Development Coach. Kyra is one of eight certified Experience Development Coaches in Ontario.

Queen Amina

Queen Amina, an actress, host/Mc and the CEO/founder of the prestigious Vigor Unsung Heroes Awards International.
Since portraying a young abused woman in the award winning film, XYZA, Queen Amina has utilized her celebrity platform to travel throughout the united States, Canada and Africa for public speaking engagements and educating Universities and High School students on the importance of the inner strength that lies within each person to do and become that which they desire to do or become. A woman with the coat of many colors.

Sijuola Folarin

Sijuola Folarin is the owner and head chef at popular windsor restaurant Naija Food Eats. She is also a professional cake designer and artist, merging the African cake style of buttercream poundcake with modern American flavours and designs. Sijuola has been featured on CIBC news, Biz X and has been nominated for several local business awards for her catering and restaurant work. She had started cooking at five years old as working with food has always been her passion. Even through studying social work and working in the profession, Sijuola still pursued her dreams of working as a caterer at any available moment possible. She believes that being served food should be an engaging moment, not marred by lack of cleanliness or lack of food detail. In recent years, through professional training and focus through the recent pandemic, she was able to expand her local catering business to open one of the few Nigerian restaurants in Windsor, Ontario. She is now a full-time chef running the Naija Food Eats restaurant and spreading the flavour of Nigerian cultural food to Ontario and beyond.
